Renewals 2026–27:
What’s Changed
National membership now renews directly with ADA Federal as a separate transaction. Here’s what it means for you.

Your 2026–27 Membership Renewal: What’s Changed
We’d like to share an important update regarding your membership renewal for the 2026–2027 financial year.
ADAQ will continue to collect your state membership fee as usual. However from this year, your national membership will be renewed directly with ADA Federal as a separate transaction.
In Australia, Companies Limited by Guarantee—like ADAQ—must meet strict regulatory requirements. Over time, the compliance involved in collecting and remitting ADA Federal fees has become increasingly complex and time-consuming for our team to administer.
We will continue working closely with ADA Federal as they advocate nationally for the profession, while ADAQ remains focused on the issues that matter most here in Queensland. This approach is already in place across several other states.

By the time you are reading this, most membership renewals for 2026–2027 will have been finalised. Members would have received an invoice for ADAQ membership, along with a separate link to renew ADA Federal membership directly.
This change allows more ADAQ resources to be directed towards delivering enhanced state-based advocacy, professional development, and member services.
We strongly encourage you to maintain both your ADAQ and ADA Federal memberships to continue accessing:
- PI insurance access and compliance advice and assistance
- State and National advocacy
- Training, CPD and events
- Practice support
- Journals and research resources
- HR and legal advisory services
For further information, please refer to the FAQs below, visit the ADAQ website, or contact the ADAQ team, who are always happy to assist.
Thank you for your continued support and for being part of ADAQ.
